Place tires at curb by 7 a.m.
Auto and Pick-up Truck Tires ONLY (must be removed from wheels)
Abandoned tires are a serious problem in the community. Discarded tires are unsightly, attract mosquitos and create an unsightly appearance. In an effort to provide an easy way for residents to dispose of unwanted tires, the City of Greenville offers a free curbside tire collection for residents during the month of October or November each year..
Progressive Waste Solution runs a special residential collection route to collect automobile and pick-up truck tires. Greenville residents that receive regular garbage collection service may place tires at the curb by 7 a.m. on the annual collection day.
The tires must be removed from wheels before they can be collected and only regular-sized automobile and pick-up truck tires can be accepted.
This service is being provided annually by the City of Greenville under the contract with Progressive Waste Solutions that the Greenville City Council adopted in June 2008.
