We strive to keep you informed of what's happening in our city. There are many ways for you to view events.
The Default View is with all of your calendars selected.
  • To view the available calendars, click Select Calendars. Put a check beside the calendars that you want to view and click View Selected Calendars and you will only see the items in the calendars you checked.
  • ToView by Month click on the "<<" or ">>" buttons on the Monthly Calendar.
  • You can also enter a specific date to see the events for that day.
  • You still have the option of viewing a printable month and week’s calendar with your selection of calendars on it.

Description: Come join us if you have always wanted to learn to knit? Or if you are already a knitter, and looking for a knitting group? Any level of knitting experience is invited to come and share their knowledge. Specific Knitting assistance will be on the first Friday of each Month. All other days are meet and knit days.
Children must be accompanied by an adult as Knit-Wits Knitting Club is not supervised by library staff.
Bring a sack lunch or cash to order out.

The group will weekly.

More advanced knitters can bring any project they want to work on. Beginners can choose from fun, easy projects such as a scarf or a hat.

Basic techniques will be taught, including: casting on, knit, purl, and casting off. An instructional handout will be provided, along with helpful internet links.

Beginner's Supply List:
One pair of knitting needles (choose from sizes 10, 10 1/2, 11, or 13) One ball of basic yarn: Red Heart from Wal-mart is fine, or any yarn you have that is similar. If this is your first project, please choose a simple yarn and avoid a fluffy or extra fuzzy type.

Advanced knitters can share and help with the teaching if they like!
