- Creating and maintaining City maps using GIS data
- GIS is a computer system capable of capturing, storing, analyzing, and displaying geographically referenced information
- Collecting GIS data from various departments throughout the City
- Displaying this information along with other features such as road maps, parcel maps, and aerial photos
- Once spatially displayed, data can then be used for queries and analysis
